FORMER DAVIDSON WILDCAT ROSIE DEEGAN SIGNS ON!

The Meneghello Industrial Group Joondalup Wolves are excited to announce the signing of former Davidson Wildcats Leader and West Coast Eagle Rosie Deegan for the 2026 NBL1 West Season!

“I’m excited to play for the Wolves this year, I’ve enjoyed getting to know the girls and Mitch’s coaching philosophy.

“Fans can expect me to cringe with every shot I take this season; I’ve really loved getting back out there loving basketball again this season.”

A 5’10 Guard, Rosie was a leader for the Davidson Wildcats in North Carolina, accumulating over 1,000 points for the college and featuring in five seasons before graduating in 2024. Across her time with the Wildcats, Rosie averaged 13.3 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists per game. 2025 saw Rosie sign with the Rockingham Flames, where she would play 5 games throughout the 2025 NBL1 West Season.

A talented footballer, Deegan was one of the first two female athletes which was signed to the West Coast Eagles AFLW side in January of 2019, although she ultimately left the club join North Carolina and play college basketball. Before signing with the Eagles, the Subiaco product represented Australia at the 2018 Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires, where she was a key player in Australia’s 3×3 basketball team securing a bronze medal.

Women’s Head Coach Mitch Langford spoke on the importance of having Rosie as part of the Wolfpack for the upcoming season.

“Rosie is an outstanding signing for our NBL1 Women’s program—her elite athletic background, with Davidson College in the NCAA and in the AFLW with the West Coast Eagles, speaks volumes about her work ethic, resilience, and high-performance standards.

“That combination of top-tier basketball pedigree and professional-level athleticism gives us a versatile, competitive edge, and her leadership and toughness will elevate our group from day one. She brings a bubbly, enthusiastic personality that is infectious in the group and brings an energy our fans are going to absolutely love!”
