The Chambers Franklyn City of Joondalup Wolves are excited to announce the re-signing of NBL1 All-Star Caleb Davis for the 2025 NBL1 West season.
Throughout his career, Davis has been known as one of the best shooting big men in the league. He averaged 14 points per game during the 2024 NBL1 West Season. Caleb was also dominant in the areas of rebounds and assists, averaging 7.58 and 3.25 a game, respectively. For his efforts during the 2024 season, Davis was rewarded by being named to the NBL1 West Select Team, which took on the Perth Wildcats at the end of the NBL1 Season.
Alongside his invaluable contribution on the court, Davis also brings his elite-level Basketball IQ and leadership skills away from the court. His professionalism and drive to reach the highest level possible has seen him earn the position of Vice-Captain alongside Captain Jordan Wellsteed for the 2025 NBL1 West Season.
Before joining the Wolfpack in 2024, Davis was signed to the Warwick Senators, where he averaged 18.2 points and 7 rebounds per game. His form led him to be named in the 2022 NBL1 West All-Star 5, and the top 10 in the NBL1 MVP votes the following season. Alongside his NBL1 West experience, Davis also has experience playing at the National level, having played for the Adelaide 36’ers in the NBL.
Caleb is an important member of the Wolfpack team, and we are ecstatic to have him assume a leadership role for the 2025 season.
Speaking on the re-signing, Men’s Head Coach David Morrell said, “We are thrilled to have Caleb back for year 2 with the Wolfpack.
From afar, when competing against him in previous seasons, I saw his special talent as a stretch big who can make ridiculous shots from range but is also versatile in his skill set. We certainly got all of that. Getting him in our locker room last year, his leadership, IQ, professionalism, commitment to the team, and winning are all at the next level.
He had such a massive impact on our team last year in all these ways that go beyond his basketball talent. We are very excited to keep building on our momentum from last year and expect big things from Caleb in his second year with the new team.
His ability to lead was so evident in his first year with us that we intend to elevate him to Vice Captain for 2025, where he will take a significant leadership role alongside Team Captain Jordan Wellsteed. CD will be a crucial player for us if we want to take the next step further in the postseason.”
When asked about how it feels to be a part of the Wolfpack for the 2025 season, Caleb said, “I am thrilled to be back with the Wolves for another season. We got agonisingly close to the ultimate goal last year, so I am excited to return with a core group of guys and build on that success. Hopefully, we will go one better and win the whole thing this year.
I already can’t wait for our first game of the season. Nothing is better than running out in front of a sold-out Wolfpack crowd at Arena Joondalup, where Neil Barnard is sending the crowd into a frenzy on the mic!
I’m excited to get back to work with Dave and the team, chase more wins and give the Wolfpack fans (the best fans in the country) a season to remember!”
