The Wolfpack had 22 teams in Semi Finals action on the weekend!

The U12 Champs Girls off to a tough start, down 2-11 as Cockburn knocked down some early 3s. The Wolfpack mounted a 4th quarter comeback and the crowd was LOUD. Unfortunately our Wolves fell 36-39 as they ran out of time to complete the comeback. The U12-3 Girls White lost 23-43 to end their finals run. A great season of development and achievement for Gus Pugliese and company. The U12-4 Girls lost 31-47 to likewise bring and end to their charge for a championship. The team did played hard and had their moment but they were unable to get across the line.

The U14-2 Girls had a great opportunity to advance, building an early 33-22 lead. Unfortunately some untimely foul trouble along with some timely made 3s for Cockburn ultimately sank the season for the Wolfpack, 49-59. The U14-3 Girls are on to a Grandfinal with top-seed Slammers Blue after a decisive victory over Slammers Red, 66-33.  Our Wolves have been defeated by just 3 and 4 points during the regular season and look to get over the hump on Sunday. The U14-4 Girls were trailed 19-22 at halftime before the Lightning 3s jumped out in the 3rd quarter, amassing a 12-point lead. The Wolves trailed by as many as 17 in the 4th quarter before they made a powerful surge and ended up just 4 points short, 44-48. Great season girls!

The U16 Champs Girls locked up in an incredible Semi Final against the Lakeside Lightning. After being tied at the end of the 1st quarter, the Wolves trailed by 5 entering the halftime break. The 2 teams traded the lead several times over the course of the 2nd half and the game went undecided into the final 8 seconds. The Wolves were applying fullcourt pressure when Lakeside found a transition layup that went begging. The Wolves countered with a transition attack of their own only to have their chance at the rim blocked as the siren blared. What can only be seen as a season of success comes to a close. The U16-4 Girls were defeated at the hands of Slammers 3s, 51-69. The Wolves overcame an early 4-17 deficit to knot the game at 29-29 just before halftime. Unfortunately, after keeping pace throughout the 3rd quarter, the Slammers were able to increase the margin in the 4th quarter as the Wolves fell 51-69. Great work to get this far! The U16 Girls Green Wolves and the U16 Girls White Wolves will faceoff in the Grand Final as they won the Semi Finals contests by 20 and 8 points respectively. This will be a great contest!

The U18 Green Women are off to a Grand Final against Hawks 3s. They were able to defeat Warwick 84-45 after an 18-0 start. Let’s go Wolves!

The U21 Champs Women locked up in a tussle against the Hawks Blue team and just couldn’t get the game to go their way, falling 66-83.

The U12 Champs showed up and showed out against Willetton, coming away with an 83-56 victory. They will matchup with Cockburn in the Grand Final at 8am. U12-3 Boys scrapped and clawed but couldn’t overcome a 13-point halftime deficit. It was a great season for these boys! The U12-4 Boys knocked off top seed Cockburn Blue by a 78-52 scoreline. Next up in the grand final is Magic Black at 5pm on Saturday.

The U14 Champs Boys took a 54-29 lead early in the 4th quarter against East Perth on their way to a 66-52 victory to punch their ticket to the Grand Final against Warwick, 10:15am on Sunday.

The U16 Champs Boys defeated Senators Green and now set their sights onto Senators Blue in the Grand Final, 3:00pm on Sunday. The U16-2 Boys are one of just a handful of 6-seeds to qualify for the Grand Final with their convincing 84-56 victory over Eagles. They will faceoff with Flames at 3:00pm on Sunday. The U16 Wolves Green will also have a 3:00pm matchup as they were able to defeat the Slammers 86-75 in their Semi Final. Best of luck to our 3 Grand Finalists in the U16 Boys group!

The U18 Champs Men were dispatched by Tigers, 94-110, bringing to the end a quality campaign under Nic Vlahov. The U18-3 Men Green were successful despite their counterpart in the Rockingham Flames nailed 12 triples. The Wolves prevailed 88-85 in a game where the 4th quarter lead never amounted to more than 6 points. Well done Wolfpack as they look to close the 2025 season with a championship win against Tigers 3s. The U18 Men White were tied deep into the 2nd quarter but were unable to make enough shots in the 2nd half to get the game into their favor, falling 66-78 to Tigers 3s.

That’s 11 Wolfpack teams into Grand Finals across Saturday evening and Sunday at Bendat that we have an opportunity to support down at Bendat.

Go Wolves, Go Green!
