WOLVES SECURE INTERNATIONAL STAR STEFANIE BERBERABE FOR 2025!

The Joondalup Wolves are proud to announce the signing of decorated international basketballer Stefanie Berberabe for the 2025 NBL1 West Season.

A US and Filipino national, Berberabe has a wealth of experience playing on the global stage. In 2024, the 5’4 athlete played in the Philippines Women’s National Basketball Team during the Pre-Qualifying Tournament for the 2026 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup, as well as competing in the William Jones Cup in Taiwan. Her time as part of the Filipina National Team has also seen her compete in the Southeast Asian Games in 2021 and 2023, winning gold and silver medals respectively during these tournaments.

Berberabe attended Westmont College in Montecito, California, where she enjoyed one of the most decorated basketball seasons in the history of the college in 2020-21. During this season, Berberabe was named National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Player of the Year and Golden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) Player of the Year.

Alongside these honours, she was named in the NAIA First Team All-American and the All-GSAC Team. To add to her list of honours, Berberabe was also named the MVP of the NAIA National Tournament, following Westmont’s victory at the National Championships. Berberabe is currently the leading Women’s scorer in all of Westmont College History.

Wolves fans are excited to see Stefanie run with the Pack for the upcoming season, we look forward to seeing her bring her experience and knowledge of the game to the court.

Speaking on the re-signing, Women’s Head Coach Jesse Pence said, “We are thrilled to add Stefanie to our roster. She is an exciting player that always seems to find a way to help her team compete. We can’t wait to up-to-speed with her teammates and build that all important chemistry.”

When asked about joining the Wolfpack in 2025, Stefanie said, “I decided to join the Wolfpack because they have a strong record of success, which shows their dedication and skill. I also really admire the way Jesse leads the team and the talent of the players. I can tell that they’re one big family that values unity and togetherness which I want to be a part of!

I’m excited to be a part of the team culture of hard work & community involvement and support. I’m looking forward to the thrill of the games and making some great memories together with the team.

I’m confident that I can bring a strong work ethic and a competitive energy to the Wolfpack. This 2025 season I’m eager to contribute my playmaking abilities, lockdown defence, and hustle.”
