Hoops Academy
New to the game of Basketball?
Are you too old for Aussie Hoops?
Want to learn some skills and drills before joining a competition?
(Hoops Academy is not for players that are part of a Domestic Club)
Hoops Academy is designed to help inexperienced players learn the fundamental skills, rules, and concepts of basketball before stepping into our junior competition. We understand that playing your first game/season can be overwhelming — learning the rules, the terminology, and the basics while also trying to compete and manage the pressure that comes with game day.
Hoops Academy prepares players for competition by teaching the essential skills needed to build confidence and enjoy the game.
The program is open to players born between 2012 and 2016 and provides a fun, inclusive environment where athletes are encouraged to try their best without any pressure.
Please note: There are only 30 places available each term, so spots are limited!
2026 Term 1 Session Details:
Cost: $125 per person
Day: Thursday
Start Date: 11th February 2026
End Date: 1st April 2026
Time: 4:45 pm – 5:45 pm
Venue: Arena Joondalup, Court 6
Year of Birth: 2012 – 2016
